Audigy Group proudly announced their partnership with the Special Olympics World Games held in Los Angeles from the 25th of July to the 2nd of August 2015. Audigy supported international athletes in the games that required hearing support in conjunction with the Starkey hearing foundation.
“The World Games, hosted more than 6,500 Olympians from across the globe, this was the first time ever a special venue was featured, called Healthy Athletes – a place where participants could undergo a number of health exams, including hearing examinations facilitated by audiologists from Audigy Group and the Starkey Hearing Foundation.

The Starkey Hearing Foundation assisted in the campaign by fitting and providing counselling to the international athletes that required hearing technology. Audigy Group members provided further support by conducting testing for U.S. and Canadian athletes with hearing impairment and facilitated necessary technology fitting appointments, counselling, and follow-up care for them.
Audigy Group’s participation in the event is yet another show of support to the Starkey Hearing Foundation’s “So the World May Hear” mission. This commitment has brought the Starkey hearing foundation to hundreds of countries in order to fit more than one million hearing aids for those in with hearing impairment across the globe. Raising awareness of hearing impairments and how to provide support to these individuals is an important component of the campaign. Hearing impairments affect one in every six people in Australia and it is providing them with the necessary technology has a huge impact on communication and quality of life.
