Gourmet Hamburger March 15, 2014 By @entwellbeing Gourmet Hamburger Serves: 4 Time to make: 10 mins Ingredients 1 tablespoon of wheat bran ½ cup of chopped onions 1 whisked egg 1 tablespoon chopped parsley Tomato (8 slices) 1 cup of shredded lettuce Beetroot (8 slices) 2 tablespoons olive oil 4 Hamburger buns, cut in half (multigrain) 400g minced lean beef Nutrition (per serve) Energy: 1901kJ Calories: 454cal Protein: 26g Fat: 10g – saturated: 2g Carbohydrates: 56g – sugars: 0g Dietary Fibre: 14g Sodium: 162mg (excluding breadroll) Instructions Combine bran, onion, parsley and mince meat. Fold in egg and mix well. Divide the mince mixture into 4 portions and shape into a patty. In a large pan, heat oil and cook patties for 3-4minutes on each side. Use paper towel to drain and absorb excess fat. Toast burger buns. Assemble a hamburger patty, beetroot, tomato and some shredded lettuce on one half of each bun. Season with salt and pepper and top with other half of bun to serve.
